A water-based cleanser is the second step of a Korean double cleanse. After an oil cleanser lifts makeup and sunscreen, a foam, gel or powder wash rinses away sweat, sebum and leftover residue. On its own, it works as a quick morning cleanse. Several are labelled low pH or pH-balanced, such as the COSRX Low pH Good Morning Gel Cleanser and the Benton Snail Bee Ultimate pH-Balanced Cleansing foam.
The range covers whipping foams from SUNGBOON EDITOR and medicube, gel cleansers from LANEIGE, Torriden and celimax, two cleansing milks, and cleansing waters from COSRX, ROUND LAB and beplain that you sweep on with a cotton pad. Powder washes from SUNGBOON EDITOR, TOCOBO and By Wishtrend turn into foam when mixed with water in your palm. Ingredients named on the labels include heartleaf, green tea, hyaluronic acid, cica, BHA, mung bean, rice and panthenol.
